As celebrity homes for sale go, Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s ex marital home, a Mediterranean-style mansion in the Hollywood Hills, went for a comparative song at $5.34million.
The ex-husband and wife bought the home– known as Park Hill – for a modest $6.5 million in June 2011 but it has been revealed they never actually lived there. The property went on the market in January 2013 and was sold by New Years Eve in the same year.
The three-acre, or,8835 square foot single family home and estate was built in 1925 and has a cosy elegance in its design though still feels very much like a celebrity Mediterranean marital home, with its understated opulence and gorgeous views of the city. The Hollywood property boasts a lagoon-style pool, two guesthouses, 7 bedrooms and almost an extra bathroom for each bedroom, totalling a whopping 11. It also comes with a lagoon-style pool and not one, but two – guesthouses on the estate. With all that additional living space, the couple surely must have been planning to start their own football team! Being situated in the best LA school district would also have been a plus.
While the grounds are full of romanesque details such as pillars and cascading gardens, the insides are modern, white-painted, clean lines with contemporary designs and furniture.
The home is located in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles and with the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel and the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Storer House close by, it is certainly in the right location for all the Hollywood action the successful couple would have needed.
The home has hardwood and tiled flooring throughout, boasts all the latest mod cons across the home and parking for at least 8 vehicles – perfect for those with an entourage!
