Cheap and Easy Home Improvements Part 4

Cheap and Easy Home Improvements Part 4

For a few bucks, get your home looking great! Here are a few cheap and easy home improvements you can try:

  • Cover wall blemishes —We all have those spots on our walls that just don’t look good–ugly light switches, holes or signs of damage, scribbles by our kids, and the list goes on. If you’re not yet ready to paint the walls, hang art or photographs over the blemishes. It will do a great job of improving the look of the room and cover up anything that could mar its appearance.
  • Hang the medicine cabinet –– If you want a bit more space in your bathroom but don’t want to do a serious remodeling to install closets, a medicine cabinet is definitely the way to go. It’s as easy as finding the studs in your wall and anchoring the cabinet there, and it will give you a lot more storage space in the bathroom.
  • Upgrade your staircase –– Your stairs see a lot of use, so make sure to give them lots of love. Install a runner up the center of the stairs to cover up scuff marks or stains, or add embellishments around the railings and along the side. It will make your home look much brighter, and add a flourish to a highly practical part of the house.
  • Redo the backsplash –– The wall behind your stove probably looks pretty dull and old after a few years of cooking, so why not give it an upgrade? It can be as simple as applying a fresh coat of paint, or you can go all out and tile the wall. It’s a lot of work, but it will help to upgrade the area beautifully!

Simple and fairly cheap, but what a way to make your home look great…
